Formatting a computer with discsFormatting a computer with the operating system and driver discs that came with the computer is a relatively simple job. We perform Four steps when doing this operation. - First, we "wipe" the hard drive to remove all information.
- This cleans the drive so no trace of virus, adware, or any other residuals remain on the hard drive.
- The drive can be cleaned up well enough so that no data is
retrievable
- Second, the hard drive is formatted
- Third, your operating system is reinstalled
- Fourth, the drivers for your peripherals are installed
What
can make this such a simple operation is that, with the operating system and driver discs that came with the computer, you have all the resources at hand to perform the job that needs to be done.
If we have to, and can, we locate drivers for
peripherals and cards.
- Most drivers can be found on the internet.
- Need drivers for most peripherals:
- Sound cards
- Graphics cards
- Modems
- Network Interface Cards (NICs)
- Printers
- Monitors
- Scanners
- DVD/CDrom drives
- etc.
- Drivers can be hard to find

We cannot load XP or Vista without the operating system that came with the
computer!
